In Today’s Era Also, Gender Equality Is A Myth

Hello everyone,

I want to ask you all a simple question. Are the lives of men and women have become equal after given equal rights and opportunities? In order to place both of them on the equal panels of the balance, the government has issued same fundamental rights for all, still I ask, is it sufficient, to lead a fulfilled life?

If we go in depth of this topic, I think men and women do not face the same challenges in day-to-day life, whether it is physical or social. A woman has to face more ups and downs as compared to men.

In case of taking care of their children as a mother, they are always been given the first place having the responsibility of uplifting their newly borns at first. In some of the poor background areas, inequality between male and female is still practised in terms of giving ample amount of food, education and so on. The boy child is found to be studying at school but at the same point of time; the girl child would have to do all the household work left for her. Can’t we see a newly wedded bride coming to another door with a handful of dowry? Thus, after listing such examples we can say that in today’s era also Gender Equality Is A Myth!
